First, Next, Then, Finally,
Hi! Hope you all had a great weekend! I went down to Kimitsu to meet a friend, it was very enjoyable but getting there wasn’t so easy.
First, I took the train to Shin Koshigaya from my school in Obukuro. Next, I got on the Musashino line from Minami Koshigaya, to Minami Funabashi,
Then, I took the Kiyo rapid line all the way to Kimitsu station.
Finally, I got picked up at Kimitsu station by my friend.
When we give directions it’s easy to group your information using these words: ‘First… , Next…, Then…, Finally…,’
You can use this in so many ways such as giving directions or explaining about a food recipe or explaining how to use or do something.
Here’s another example:
How do you make an omelette?
First, you beat two eggs in a bowl.
Next, you heat up a frying pan.
Then, you add the egg with some bacon, and cheese.
Finally, cook until the egg feels hard then fold the omelette and serve onto a plate.
Okay homework:
Please think about these question:
- How do you make Okonomiyaki?
- How do you get to my Queen’s English School from your house?
- How do you pray at a Japanese Temple or Shrine, Japanese style?
- How do you prepare for a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony party?
Good luck and give it your best shot!!
