Today, we are going to look at:
What is He Aiming For – this is really a question of “what is his future ambition?”
Example 1:
- Sophie: My brother has decided to become a doctor.
Jessica: What is he aiming for?
Sophie: He’d like to be a top surgeon.
Example 2:
- When popstar Jarvis Cocker was asked in an interview what is he aiming for?. His reply was “my aim is to be a reasonable human being”. Source: http://www.acrylicafternoons.com/stimes99.html
Homework:
- What are your aims and goals for this year?
- Perhaps one of them is to learn lots of English phrases, which you can do right here and at The Queen’s English School.
- Ask your friend – “what is he aiming for?”.
