You’ve Excelled Yourself
Hello, another new phrase for you today:
You’ve excelled yourself means when you have done really well, or achieved a great deal.
Example 1:
- I did not expect you to tidy so much away, you’ve excelled yourself.
Example 2:
- Not even you thought that you would get a first in business studies, you’ve excelled yourself.
Homework:
- Try to find someone at home, at work, or a friend who has done better than what you thought they would and tell them “you’ve excelled yourself“.
